What started as a seemingly classic children's film took a slow-burning twist that kept me white-knuckling my seat for the second half. The development of Leon as a character was unexpected since I knew nothing of this movie going in, but I was so pleasantly (or unpleasantly?) surprised by the way the movie showed his character evolve.
