contrary to popular opinion... I actually enjoyed this film very much. i completely understand the controversy surrounding the movie, what with the provocative dancing and clothing of pre-adolescent girls. it was completely and entirely uncomfortable to watch. however, i'd be lying if i said this wasn't necessary. the movie does well to criticize hypersexualization of women in the media and how this transfers over into the lives of young girls. the artistic choice of making them 11 years old was…
