Two top snipers are assigned to towers on either side of a gorge in an unknown location and told to prevent anything coming out and not to communicate with each other (as if). Levi’s defences soon crumble in the face of Drasa’s flirtatious assault and inevitably chaos ensues. The plot probably doesn’t withstand too much scrutiny and there is a bit of a rush to a tidy conclusion but the ride is fun and you want to spend time with…

It does all of this with such a light touch that it doesn’t feel like a ‘profound’ film but one where you are being allowed to observe the changing lives of real people wrestling with real feelings and the…
A story about an iconic bit of Americana told in an interesting way with sympathetic characters with wandering accents. Austin Butler quietly smoulders and as well as Jodie Comer falling for him, there are moments of highly charged homo-eroticism between him and a brooding Tom Hardy. Watching this film was like being at a party where you really really don’t belong. You don’t know how you got here but you are very much aware of being with people from a different world and you have no idea how to relate to them. The whole thing happens at breakneck speed and you have never seen so many drugs in your whole life. It’s exhausting, kind of exhilarating and confusing as hell. Very very worried about my date with Kneecap at Wythenshawe Park later this year and whether I am going to be as confused and out of place as the first time around.
