  The movie is pretty clear at showing you Southern Africa is messed up, but has no intent on saying why its fucked up. It is pretty racist by omission. Not helped by having Leonardo Dicaprio doing a terrible Afrikaans accent as our rugged anti hero whilst actual Afrikaans actors play the villain roles. Djimon Hounsou totally kills it though.
