    50,000 shades of grey.

Jesus, what a production!! Hard to fathom the time and resources it took to pull off this immaculate film. Watching it felt like the cinematic version of an “I Spy” book. Everywhere you looked, everyone was in focus, myriad delicious little moments playing out simultaneously.

What a delight to witness it in a theater, scattered bursts of laughter spiraling off every 10 seconds or so.

This should have won hundreds of Oscars.

    Possibly thousands…

Funnest, funniest thing I’ve seen in ages. Bravo!

From the golden era of turn-of-the-century comedy blockbusters, MtP is still flawless. Every joke hits.

To this day I remain aghast at how ripped Stiller is in that Speedo. Even as a ten year old watching this the first time I knew it deviated wildly from his character.

But gah, he’s just perfect for this. What a delicate balancing act of being the lovable everyman with just the right amount of idiot goofball.

And Hansel remains his perfect foil.

    “CAN YOU DEAL WITH THAT!”…iconic.

Least Linklater Linklater film I’ve ever seen. It feels like he’s reached the age and success in his career where he can try any genre he wants—what the hell? why not?—and of course he pulls it off because he’s Richard Linklater and he’s a master at what he does.

This movie feels like exactly the kind of light-hearted romcommy crime romp thing that I would annoyingly see auto-previewing on Netflix and hurriedly skip past, and that’s exactly what will happen…
