Better than I expected. I did find Ray Nicholson's performance to be distracting and not in a good way. Like I'm genuinely worried that he, as a person, not the character, doesn't have the ability to feel emotions. But the other performances were great. The twist was fun. I thought it to be an unexpectedly poignant movie on the power of love.

The Electric State 2025
I'm genuinely confused be the bad reviews this movie got. Is it a masterpiece? No. But as I told my wife, it's something I think I'd love my son to see when he's 13. It's fun, really cool backstory. Alternate universe, some light lore. I think if you're honestly judging this movie on its terms, it's a pretty good movie.

Just a solid movie. Funny, action-packed, well-written romcom. The chemistry between Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling is unreal. Like if John and Emily don't have a good marriage, he's going to be worried. Honestly can't recommend it enough. May go see it again.
