    The detail that was put into this film was so admirable. The exploration of female Mormons at the beginning of the film felt very fresh and a new setting. I wanted to know more and explore the religious themes. But then…the Gods Not Dead effect kicked in. 

    I don’t care to listen to a whiny little bitch boy (who is a grown man) Reddit atheist get on his soap box and torture and complain to women who probably suffer enough…

    Ah we are finally re-entering the era of horror that feels like home. It’s comedic, gory, and unique. But also it’s inspired by a Stephen King story which also just screams 80s to me. Which is my home in the genre. 

    There were beats where the adult characters fell a little flat for me, but the child actors CARRIED. The script was unhinged at points but it always made the audience laugh (aka me and one other person).

    Depressed. Loathing. Weeping. 

    Community. The answer is always community and this man always stood on the outside of it due to the fear of rejection. His fears were valid, I believe he feared himself more than what others did. 

    Sebastian had a beautiful performance, but I think what takes this movie next level is the loss of hope. The ending doesn’t feel just or deserving, but what other outcome do you expect? This is the only outcome.
