    Was I supposed to be continually laughing during the film’s final half hour (and right up to the very end)? Still, this film has its heart in the right place. I really appreciated how it explores the ways Japanese culture was distorted by evil during the war while also offering ways that this culture can turn towards goodness. (I quite liked the central team of characters!).

    The action sequences are impressive, although the rhythm between them and the (lovely) non-action…
