Glass Onion 2022
This was quite the serve?!?! I need to go watch Knives out after seeing this. This film did a great job at walking this tight rope and juggling comedy with tension. I somehow found myself on the edge of my seat and laughing my ass off???? (If that makes any sense babes) THIS CAST EATSSSS. I haven’t seen a lot of Janelle Monae acting but I definitely need to see more of it after watching this film. The cast had mad chemistry which made each individual performance all the more entertaining. I really did enjoy this movie a lot! So good. So so good.

She was cute! One of the better superhero movies out there. I thoroughly enjoyed the gray areas of being a hero that the DCEU explored within this movie. The « good guys » were never really clear, on purpose (until everybody stopped bickering and start saving some lives) and I loved it. I loved that this movie highlighted so many non-white actors even though Khandaq is fictional. This was very enjoyable. I love Dwayne Johnson too. Also can we talk about the FX?!?! On freaking point. The DCEU does a much better job at producing specific, styllized and stunning visuals for hat push the story forward.

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions 2021
I guess I hate the idea of movies like this more than just the movie itself. This film was well thought out and well executed coupled with some believable acting but that’s just about everything that makes this movie as remarkably mid as it was. The ending was such a cop out and didn’t do anything to denounce the harmful nature of capitalism. I think I’m also pretty apathetic towards this movie because the people who made this probably thought they ATE but in reality they didn’t. I love Indya Moore and they’re the only reason y’all got a third star.
