I love this film & have rewatched many times over. Summer is no villain as much as Tom is no hero, if anything, Tom is the villain of his own tale - Summer communicates her intentions from the outset however she is also figuring out her feelings for Tom. Tom falls deeply into a state of limerence early on & the idea of Summer being ‘the one’ never fades for him when we know for Summer her FWB situation with Tom doesn’t…

We Live in Time 2024
The concept/plot is nothing too abstract but it’s done very well, Andrew Garfield & Florence Pugh have great chemistry & it’s in relatively equal parts amusing at points and also desperately sad in its realness. I like that we see snapshots in time with parts of Tobias & Almut’s relationship throughout in various points. Overall a great watch with plenty of really lovely and poignant scenes in this movie.
