The Menu 2022
The Menu is an interesting movie. From the beginning, it seemed like a typical game show with a secret island where everyone gets together and something mysterious happens. However, the almost satanic-like nature and ending leave the viewer with eerie feelings of deliciousness, as well as curiosity about what this world holds.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 2023
The capital, the districts, the hunger game universe is a bit more complex than I remembered. The movie has its strengths in creating a futuristic, yet somewhat dystopian vibe, which pairs very well with the great cinematography. The movie itself stands alone pretty well as a prequel, however, I’m not the most well-versed with the lore and content so I cannot tell if it is an accurate depiction of the book and links well to the other hunger game books, and movies.

Top Gun: Maverick 2022
Top gun maverick has all time cinematic, high speed, movie shots, which seem authentic and invoke high stress in the climax of the movie. However, what occurs outside the cockpit to me is of greater importance, then what happens inside. Unfortunately, we don’t learn much more about the main character as a person, or any compelling conflicts which exist outside the battlefield. Lastly, the romance was based more off nostalgia than actual chemistry.

After sun loves to draw out the Memorable moments of life and speed up the moments which may initially seem of more importance. It is fitting that the view were never really knows why one of the main characters where is depressed which impart helps fill a large hole in the story, however keeps the viewer wanting a more definitive identity as a movie.
