Upon finishing this movie, it appears that director Michael Leary visited Texas Frightmare, Monster Mania, and Houston Horror Con and requested all the actors from each lineup to collaborate on this project. Although there are decent practical effects, the script is terrible. Why does a movie like this need to be 2 hours long? It was fortunate that these actors were not jobless and received a fair compensation for their minor roles.

Let me start saying. I’m not a huge fan of Alex Garland’s films, but I did enjoy Ex Machina and Annihilation. I was very intrigued with his new film because this time he steps away from sci-fi in favor of some surreal folk flavored horror. The performances are great.
