  I'm a huge Bong fan boy, so it's possible that I came into this film with too high of expectations, but I left a little underwhelmed. Rob Pat and the rest of the cast did a great job, but this film's Bong-Joon-Ho-ness (his tone, his style, his cinematography) felt a little watered down. Maybe it's because it's an English film, maybe it's because it's a poorly adapted story, or maybe the big budget production removed his charm. Either way, still a good movie, but not as great as most of Bong's other work.
