  This movie about an “evil dog” somehow created one of the most complex characters ever. Throughout the film and through his inner monologue, we come to know Baxter, the dog, as a ruthless villain who’s one dream was having an owner who “ruled” him and used him to his full potential.   I remember I saw this for the first time in an empty theater with my grandpa and when it was over we sat in silence for a few minutes before he loudly slapped his knees and stood up and said “I don’t know what the fuck I just watched but I hope you liked it.” 

  I did like it.

  I know it’s a decent film but HOLY he’ll that film did NOT deserve that many Oscar nominations.

  The acting was amazing, as well as the voice impressions, but the film felt way too long for its own good. 

  Overall a good film but nothing special.
