The Hate U Give 2018
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
A good adaptation of the novel, though the added scene in which the little brother takes his father’s gun seemed a bit heavy-handed. I think the audience is capable of understanding that hate given to children impacts everyone without seeing it acted out literally.

Saw this in the theater when it came out and enjoyed it. Tried to watch it again and was so put off by Simon Pegg’s character that we stopped watching after 10 minutes.
