This is simply (a less fun version of) Indiana Jones in a dark academia trench-coat.
Regardless, i did enjoy the historical aspects included and the performances of the cast overall.
Though, Tom hanks should never get the same hairstyle he had in this ever again, i cant stop looking at it, it’s like a car crash.
Watched this when i was 14. Never been able to watch it again, as it’s one of those films that sears itself into your brain. It’s heartbreaking and heavy. Not for the faint of heart. But the underlying message is incredibly poignant and possibly even more relevant to our current day societal reality than it was upon its release 20+ years ago.
