I generally love documentaries. But one of the problems I sometimes have with them is the obvious way things are laid out. Every message and plot point has signs pointing to it long before. Concerning Violence is a gripping look into African Imperialism that unfolds more like a mosaic. I'm not always sure where I am and who the bad guys are, but the melancholy tone of hopelessness lingers throughout.
