Exciting movie that wastes no time in doing what needs to be done. While the initial chestburster scene happens really early on to a character with little development, it allows for more time with the alien and the bonus in the final act.
In terms of continuing a classic franchise, I think Prey can be considered the Predator counterpart to this Alien movie. In this comparison, I think Prey is a better movie as it offers a more unique setting and perspective.
