    bro lars wtf
nauseating . but also reflections on evil and destruction and just because the horrors of life are so shocking doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to understand them or where they come from

also jack is one professional bullshitter serial killa and each time this maniac goes in “performance” is both so well done and funny even

come on don’t tell me that dirt mattress was enough. just letting y’all know this is a feel-bad picture which might spark inner discomfort +++

this film is quite abstract and probably requires thorough philosophical takes to be properly analysed but man this is the second desert movie that i’ve watched after Twentynine Palms and i might not survive a third one. doom and hopelessness in the midst of the hostility from unforgiving nature is very dizzying. add to that…

man the power of the mumbling….
although the end of kurt cobain’s life is an annoying topic because it is oh so idolized, debated, romanticized etc. almost led astray, this movie actually wasn’t a biopic per se but rather it found very abstract inspiration in KC’s life and depression.
one can only salute gus van sant’s accuracy in depicting depression through mixed and overlapping scenes and temporalities creating a distorted sense of time where absolutely nothing matters.
    +1 for kim
