  The king is back, baby. 
  Dope ass movie, a period piece which I honestly wasn’t expecting. One of the best modern Godzilla movies if only for the amazingly performed and portrayed human characters, which is a rare triumph for a Godzilla movie. Of course we watch to see the giant monsters wreck shit, but to have such human pathos and gravitas on display was a nice sight to see and a nice refresher from the standard Kaiju fare.   Halloween III: Season of the Witch 1982

  ★★★★★ Rewatched 31 Oct 2023

  A great and under appreciated flick that was the right balance of campy bullshit and totally off base and ahead of its time with some of the more  grimdark aspects as well as the alarmingly downbeat ending. Wonderfully done slow burn horror, with an element of paranoia present throughout. My personal favorite Halloween film aside from the first.

  Troma-Thon 2023 at the Mahoning! 
  Night One, Movie 1/3:

  Awesome little torchbearer to the current year Troma team. Hope to see more and more from this director and see how his style evolves in the future, hopefully we got a future Gunn styled auteur on our hands here.  First film in a triple feature, but a great little crowd warm-up nonetheless and a new exposure to a new director who I will keep my eye on and hope to see back at another Troma event soon.

  Night Two, Movie 1/3: many people will say this about a lot of media nowadays: but this wouldn’t ever be made in current year. I’m honestly shocked that this was made in the 2000’s with how many school shooting jokes and overtly cringe-inducing humor are present..But then again, this is Troma. And Toxie, so they’ll push every boundary and smash some you didn’t even know existed. Great shit. Horrible film, loved every second.
