Singin' in the Rain 1952
Wow! I haven’t seen this in so long. I was worried it would not live up, but it’s such a beautiful piece. The comedy, the romance, the music. Firstly, the comedy: the facial expressions and dry jabs are perfect for making you laugh (“Make ‘em Laugh”). The romance: it is not over the top or too subtle like most modern movies; it’s real and sincere, only expressed predominantly in song and chemistry. The music: it’s heavenly and fun and everything in between; I will be humming “Singin’ in the Rain” and “Moses Suposes” for weeks.
