I know what the intention of this movie was, I heard others talk about it and the writer/director discuss it but it was a complete miss for me. So awkward, so cringy, so badly written. I mean, I am as confused as Jacob was in one of the final scenes where she was trying to communicate what she wanted!! And never really did. It flew and did not land.
The worst acting I’ve seen out of Kidman since that Netflix…

I saw this movie a second time tonight and I added a star. I don’t know what it was about seeing it again. I mean, I even knew what was coming, but I find now sometimes things seem different when I look at them again. I kinda wish the main character had been cast differently. That’s most likely gonna be the controversial opinion but Josh Hartnett really did not have the chops for this. Overall, I liked it.
