the film establishes itself quickly as a bold picture on the topics body image with great cinematography, fresh cast and original idea, but it didn’t fulfill the expectations it put forward… the initial body horror was used over and over again for the sake of shock, failing to move the plot forward or dive deeper into the story. the ending felt as a “self-aware” reference to other movies from this and other genres which mismatched the rest of its unique ideas.…
