What time is it?
No time to look back.
One of the most awkward professionally made movies I’ve ever seen
An eerie and clever horror movie that gets kinda lost under the weight of its own lore. Starts off genuinely creepy and very clearly runs out of steam (and money) by the end.
If this film wasn’t French it would get middling reviews at best. It’s utterly devoid of tone— I don’t need a film to tell me what to feel but some kind of hint would be nice. There’s subversion of expectation and then there’s just leaving your audience floating in the ether. People keep saying this film was suspenseful but it was so utterly lacking in suspense. There’s no situation or force bringing these people together by the end and then the climax just happens. Also, not to be pedantic but clearly no one on set had ever used a shotgun before.
