  Much like Maestro post-Tar, this is a tragic casualty of being released close to Nolan's The Prestige. This movie holds up pretty well aside from the accents, and Paul Giamatti has barely aged a day. This might have gotten more traction if Steve Miller Band's "Abracadabra" opened or closed the film.

  I was expecting a heavy female presence at the screening, but it seemed to be more of a dudes-in-trench coats crowd. It really set the tone for an 80s sweaty sexy grindhouse film. I'm glad I got to wear my trench coat at least once this year.
