Ralph Fiennes has always been incredible, obviously. Every time he appears on screen he brings a presence that feels legendary, but I can't help but feel as if he's never gotten the chance to fully show himself. Often his appearances can feel like a cameo, just enough to peer into his skillset. Here, we get it all. His all.
Not to mention that sharpness on the script here, further and further in do we get keened onto details that re-spark…

A comfort crime film? Truely has a sweater weather atmosphere where everyone is so kind and soft, in the midst you have these crazed killers and the dynamic is astonishing. A thrill ride, sure, but what this film does best is atmosphere with the cinematography taking more of a hold on the Coen brothers’ films than normal, and I’m here for it.

Absolutely gorgeous. The type of film that has you speeding through the subtitles so you can adore the frame longer.
This film has a haunting texture of black and white that stained my mind like those after image illusions. The direction becomes almost spontaneous and weird, jumping from a seemingly normal world to the chaos in the details: I had to double-check a few times that the movie wasn’t just bugging out.
