Im pretty sure this is the first movie I remember watching with the Rock growing up and man is he a badass. The final fight out scene is still so bananas - the poem, the music, the quick cuts, the Christopher Walken of it all, and of course, the Rock finally DECIDING TO USE GUNS as the obstensible “twist” of the movie - its gold. Also the people who came up with all the different cinematic ways to load a shotgun and the whip fight choreography need a raise.

Spartacus 1960
Epic. So many beautiful scenes so many great pieces. I don’t want want every movie to be this sweeping and this long - thankful for the intermission here - but a great movie, both in sense of the execution and in just the sheer production. I found myself wanting to pause and just count the extras multiple times or at least look up the budget for togas.
