Popcorn flick for sure—doesn’t take itself too seriously. Could have rated slightly higher depending on mood/company. Pretty stupid overall but it had entertaining kills and humor throughout.

Companion 2025
Modern horror concept that I expect to be touched on more and more. I wish they revealed less of the early “twist” in trailers—glad I wasn’t certain and still found it satisfying. Very pleasing aesthetic and title sequence. Leans pretty heavily into dark comedy and had me chuckling quite a bit. Forced exposition took me out of it, but still a fun time.
This would be a solid flick to watch with a group of friends.Translated from by

A certified classic. This is the film that created the "zombies eat brains" horror trope. The scene where they're able to communicate with one of the zombies reveals a terrifying concept. Punk rock '80s fun in all its undead glory. This has become one of my comfort films.

I loved the pop colors and camerawork. Cool retro feel, satisfying shots, and tons of style. There were moments that lost me, but got me back shortly after. Solid misdirection and unique storytelling, found it fun to piece together the information as it was given. I really enjoy Kyle Gallner in these type of roles.
