Wicked 2024
I saw the Broadway play about a month and a half before the movie came out, and as a theater-adjacent kid (tech crew rise up) there was absolutely nothing that surprised me, but that’s what I expected.
Really, the only thing I have to say about this movie is that I enjoyed it aside from the color grade and it’s always interesting to see whatever the ‘industry best practices’ are at any given time on these big tentpole releases.

A great portrayal of what happens when hubris ≠ intelligence. I love how in Mark’s head this movie is, right down to the musical stings (Marvin Hamlisch!!!!).
Mark thinking he is James Bond is phenomenon that I have witnessed several clients display in my own life, and they nailed how completely flaccid it actually comes across as.
