  If you read Grady Hendrix’s MY BEST FRIEND’S EXORCISM, don’t bother watching this movie because it is like they took the compelling story, strong friendship, perfectly timed comedy, skin crawling horror, and heart breaking ending, and said “no thank you, I don’t like good things,” and made this abomination. There’s no ET roller skating birthday party, no rebuking by the power of Phil Collins, no I love you dearly but not queerly. Brother Lemon was funny, but it’s like they gave up writing him right before the exorcism was complete, and WORST OF ALL: I didn’t believe one bit of Abby and Gretchen’s friendship

  I'm not sure how yall are rating this like it was supposed to be genuinely scary, when the retired baseball playing father, whose MS was cured by a pool, is possessed by a pool, and while under the influence of the pool demon, says, "We love the pool!" In a menacing voice.
