honestly…disappointing. director dug too far into the “senseless violence” take on riots& revolutions. there was no overarching ideological concept that pushed the conflict, just grief. and that’s a breaking point for so many of us, absolutely, but the lack of indictment of the larger system ultimately read as very pro-cop. the shakespearean energy brought in by the top-down structure of athena under control of this one family was REALLY heart-wrenching, but the last 10 minutes and the eventual nihilism of…
