  Around the 40 minute mark (before anything notable has yet to happen), one of the characters in X asks her boyfriend, a pornographer, why he doesn’t simply “give the people what they paid for”. He insistently replies “because I’m making something better than that”.

  X does not make something better than that.

  In fact, it makes something much worse. There’s certainly an interesting point to be made about the affinities between the slasher and porn, but this movie seems to leave…
