Another good and original story from Francis Veber in his directorial debut. Great cast and characters which combine comic spirit with some subtle social commentary about merchandization and power of the press.

To be honest, if I was a kid in the '70s, I'd also like to have Pierre Richard for a toy.

His plush version at the end was also quite cool.

And of course another catchy music by Vladmir Cosma - www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9RtGe8tck4

Bring indoor tombs back into fashion.

final entry in his Gates of Hell trilogy.
it is probably the least praised, but i enjoyed it.
random moments and creepy characters like the kid(Bob), the babysitter and the librarian.
    full with eye close-up shots.
the scene with the rat is great.
italian horror music is always top notch.

    must see after Fitzcarraldo.
Herzog is the crazy one here, while Kinski seems sane.
Gives great insight about his state of mind and vision.

"If I abandon this project, I would be a man without dreams and I don't want to live like that. I live my life or I end my life, with this project."

    "I shouldn't make movies anymore."
    [chuckles]
"I should go to a lunatic asylum right away."

The party scene is so addictive. I can watch Schmidt balance bread on his face for at least another 7 hours.

It doesn't even feel like a superhero film and that is what makes it so good - that sums it up for me.
I really dig Matt Reeves approach here. even the gloomy voiceovers are cool.
