this would be a great double feature (palate cleanser?) with the piano teacher. this was not so piercingly shocking as the doom generation. its funny moments are definitely funnier though.
im recognizing that james duval plays the perfect dejected puppy. this world has no place for him. he carries himself with a quiet, aching empathy that comes from knowing hell is already here. queerness is liberatory. embracing the end might bring about heaven.
