I’m obsessed with animation that makes you feel uncomfortable with the eerie and imperfect way it is drawn. The gothic architecture and cyber dystopian bone structures are so hard and HR giger esque. The use of religious symbolism is extremely intriguing to me, and this film made me think and feel deeply for a long time. The character design of the boy and girl was so perfect, I fell in love with them both. The egg to me can represent a lot of things, faith, the heart, a womb, the girls hopes and dreams, so fragile she must protect it…
