Never underestimate the ability of a cast of movie stars to sell the hell out of an objectively absurd movie.

Once again, to find positive representation of trans women, look to prison movies! Ahhhh she's so beautiful!! And the men are all so affirming!!! This would have changed my life if I had seen it earlier!!

Aside from that, godDAMN is this movie dumb, silly, glorious fun! Well orchestrated action, some of my favorite actors getting to bounce off each other, a lovely, ludicrous plot, and Sir Nicolas doing just incredible accent work. We love to see it.

My secret shame growing up was that I desperately wanted to be a transsexual stripper in Baltimore, the nearest fleshpot. But I couldn't say that to parents or classmates or guidance counselors. And when it came down to it I made the nearly fatal error of attempting to continue as a man.

Just feels like an entire TV series crammed into a movie, just want to scream at them to slow down. Whedon's influence here is wayyy too strongly felt, really culmination of the times. As my wife put it, "this is like, a really bad Marvel movie."

Credit where it's due, everything Babu Frick is delightful, including C-3PO exclaiming "Babu Frick! Why, he's my oldest friend!" Hell yeah queen
