Not sure I'm too big a fan of this dramatization of mesoamerican life right before the colonizers took over. Almost feels like Mel Gibson is justifying them being conquered by portraying their pre-contact civilizations as brutal and primitive, compared to how organized they are thought to be while being genocided.

Undoubtedly one of the most influential films in human history. This film single handedly revived the KKK and emboldened Jim Crow advocates, setting back the fight for Civil Rights by decades. We are still dealing with the devastation this film brought upon American culture. Not a single word of French was spoken in this entire movie.
There were a couple guys who showed up to watch this film in full suits, white boys need to be stopped. Also this felt more like a highlight reel than a biopic. I also don't know why they couldn't get somebody shorter or more French to play Napoleon. Despite these complaints, it wasn't really all that bad.
