Kinds of Kindness 2024
Yet in every way, mysterious was not it. Plemons was superb. It's probably the best I've ever seen of any of his performances across all of the actor's filmography but, he's the only one worth mentioning at all. Qualley, too. And Schafer's role is cheap. And likened down to such a small stint that I'm surprised they even mentioned Hunter at all.
You want to love the movie but you can't help but feel like, this is just a reworked…

Brothers 2009
Genuinely dumbfounded by how this movie was even taken seriously at all. It's American Sniper-bad. Jake Gyllenhal's performance is what earns the sole star of the rating at all. He's literally the best part of the movie but everything is bogged down by how unserious Maguire seems. Natalie Portman, bless her, seems to also be trying.
Nothing about the movie really pulled me in. And this is the longest I've ever taken to finish watching a movie. 2 whole days.
