idk why this movie gets hated as it does. i get that the ending was kinda bullshit, but still. rating this movie just as a movie, id give it 4 stars; rating this movie as a biopic about an artist, id give it 2.5 stars because it doesnt really show or emphasize her in the studio making the music at all and that is what a biopic is supposed to be about. I will say the whole storyline was great and she really was one of the greatest. love is a losing game will always be one of my favorite songs.

it really just lost the plot of the original about hanging out on the porch and just living in the day. the only thing this film had that the original had was smoking and ice cube with a girl. it was carried by the humor and i really wish they had smokey in this movie.
