  I always liked the songs in this show. But why did Conrad Birdie suck at singing and also was not hot in this one?? I love Ann Margret. Dick Van Dyke is a goat. Paul Lynde is goofy and chewed that scenery ultra-hard.

  I see why this one is a classic. It’s such a feel-good movie. I just love the way old movies like these look and feel. The sets are just so fun (the Step in Time sequence was possibly my favorite).
  Julie Andrews is also amazing and beautiful.
   (Who was gonna tell me that Mary Poppins is kinda hot??). Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke are both treasures. Brilliant performers. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

  Terry Gilliam is, hands down, one of the GOATs. His movies are just so superbly directed and the design is always insanely imaginative and unique. This one is almost just as amazingly done as “Brazil”.

  So good. Kinda crazy that I had seen the sequel a million times throughout my life and only just now watched the original (my mom specifically likes the sequel). I think I like this one even more than the sequel though! Matthau and Lemmon are legends. They’re just great. Burgess Meredith is hilarious in this as well. I also find the side characters to be a lot more likable in this one as well (mostly Jacob). The movie as a whole also just seems to have more emotional weight to it. Great movie. So cozy too. (Also- shoutout to Ann Margret. Love her).
