  Very very strange film. The nostalgia, memory and withdrawn protagonist of the film reminded me of Citizen Kane while the character analysis and the self-awareness that the film elicits from the viewer reminds me of Richard Burton's character in 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' Loved the surreal sequences but its gonna take me a while to collect my thoughts on this film.

  This film saved my paralysed grandma. I left her watching it and she walked to the TV to close it.

  It's a shame that the original copy of the film does not exist as it was censored before the 1967 dictatorship. The police actually arrested people at the premiere of the film at the 'palace theatre' in Athens. Generally this film is good because of its music with parts of it also being used by theodorakis for the iconic syrtaki in "Zorba the greek" a few years later.
