Guys… is it wrong to say it didn’t really strike a chord with me? It feels like bridgerton season 2 but not done quite as well. Gone Girl 2014
Rosamund Pike played her character sooo well, honestly her casting couldn’t have been better. I think the nuances of the relationship between Nick and Amy were excellently navigated by keeping the line between reality and Amy’s twisted fiction blurred. The last half hour of the movie was really the highlight for me, as when all of the walls of formality came down between them I became really enraptured in each actor’s performance. They know each other fully now and yet they’re complete strangers, the ending in my opinion is just the right amount of open ended.
