  Before the Virgin Suicides and Picnic at Hanging Rock there was Little Women, and for the first half of the movie I really thought this adaptation could have been even better than the Gerwig one.

  Then I watched the second half and I almost completely lost touch with the characters. Both writing and direction choices made it look like they wanted to rush it to the end and didn't know what else to do with the original material.
