  The film as a whole is nothing special, no great acting nor any great desire to watch again.

  The subject and the story it tell however is of great interest and that is a redeeming factor. American civil rights history is not well taught in the U.K. and this film highlights how depraved people used to be and the ongoing beliefs that are still held by people to this day.
