Classic case of a movie not living up to the book.

To call this an adaptation of Mickey 7 is arguably one of the larger stretches in human history. Practically every character was completely different with different backstories, motives, and/or character traits in general. Mickey’s successor was never a blood thirsty maniac, Berto (Timo?) was never a drug dealer, Cat Chen (Kai) was practically written out of the whole movie, and don’t even get me started on the slap-dick Trump…

Not much to say here. Fits nicely in the Alien timeline between the OG and Aliens 2. Still want Ridley Scott to finish his prequel trilogy, but I guess it’s not looking like that’ll happen anytime soon if at all.

Pretty neat how the ship was divided into Romulus and Remus sectors representing the vibes of both original Alien trilogy and the Scott prequels. Made for a viewing experience that satisfied both ends of the Alien franchise fandom.

    Once again,…

Creative ending, but not enough to push this movie over the top.

CGI effects at points looked pretty corny at times and NOT ENOUGH DEVIL!

What does it say about me as a human being if I correctly guessed the plot twist halfway through the movie? That I’m a sick individual? Sure, I’ll take it.

Either way, another masterpiece by Villeneuve that accurately depicts the horrors and atrocities civil wars place upon a country, but more importantly just how strong a parents love can be. No matter the circumstances. And trust me, Villeneuve PUSHES  those circumstances boundaries.

Oh and this movie contains one of the most terrifying gasps in cinematic history
