  Weird film, not at all what I thought it was going to be about. Fair play Al, getting the Oscar for it, but really not for me. Can’t believe from the wealth of excellent Pacino performances, this is the Oscar winner. This guy is Michael Corleone for gods sake!

  On a bit of an Elliott Gould hype. Very different Marlowe to Bogart in The Big Sleep, but I’m all for it. Love the 70s LA sleaze. Also, Arnie turning up for like 2 mins? Must have been one of his first roles. No lines, just stand there and be huge. Good shit. 

  Very little that is cooler than Gould striking matches every 5 mins off of literally any surface within range.
