Very enjoyable. Generally I’m the type to advocate for creators just making one movie and leaving it be, but I’m surprised this never got at least one or two sequels.

I sincerely recommend all the people I’ve seen talking up this movie watch like one season of Doctor Who or Star Trek. I get that we’re starved for decent Sci-fi rn but this ain’t it. All the set up and the monologing for what amounts to a low tier Trek episode. And all the people saying how ‘viciously anti Trump’ the movie was are rly overselling it. All in all, it’s just fine and forgettable.

Unexpectedly soft hearted punks and the weird girls that they love is my favorite genre. Sincerely this one’s pretty dark in spots but it’s nice. And it introduced me to “Hanging on the Telephone”.
