Ariana Grande was so terrific in this. I really dunno what kind of movie they would’ve had without her. Jon Chu is the luckiest mf in Hollywood history.
I was pretty entertained until they got to Emerald City! Wizard and climax stuff had me yawning. Movie had a real case of the wrap-it-ups.

Cool cool such a COOL movie! They had me at jazz!
There are great ideas here about how we respond when a camera is placed on us. How much of our world it can really capture. The voyeuristic nature of documentaries. The way one character's perspective will shape how we see others in the room, only for that perception to be ripped away a few minutes later by some other actions.
But to be honest, I could've watched this movie…

This movie deceived me big time because for the first half I thought it was just gonna be an all-timer hangout movie. But I guess if that was the case, it wouldn't have been a good prison movie...
So many memorable moments as we get to know Luke and the gang. The boxing match, the eggs. Highlight is when they work super manically.

Really loved the climax. Terrific action! Could’ve used even more Olivia Colman. She understood the assignment and was a worthy successor to the throne Hugh Grant has vacated.
