  Demi Moore ATE. This is like The Fly but makes it feminist, camp, and absolutely unhinged. The body horror is gnarly, the satire is sharp, and by the end, I was both horrified and kinda obsessed. 10/10 would not try The Substance myself, but I respect the hustle 👌🏽

  Not my dear friend Suggie suggested this film to me tonight while we were on a video call and for me to realise I have watched this ages ago and oh eyes got so watery thinking about this film again, definitely need to watch this again, such a beautiful film, such a beautiful storytelling of motherhood, queer love, family, friendship etc, relationships in all sorts 😭😭😭

  What a beautiful film 😭😭😭

  A Georgian aunt’s journey to Istanbul to reconnect with her estranged trans niece. This cross-cultural drama explores themes of family, identity, and the contrasts between traditional and modern worlds.

  Mzia Arabuli wins for her stunning performance in “Crossing.” This is the first film of 2024 that moved me to tears. Mzia’s portrayal of the aunt allowed me to deeply connect with her emotions—pain, worry, impatience, grief, and regret—while also embodying the elegance, pride, and beauty of a confident Georgian woman. I couldn’t help but feel proud 💜
