A Complete Unknown 2024
A Complete Unknown follows Bob Dylan’s early career up to the release of Highway 61 Revisited. I thought Timothee Chalamet portrayed a great Dylan and his singing and guitar chops were actually quite good. The use of Dylan’s early songbook in the movie was a treat and the performance scenes were stellar. Certain scenes in the movie made me feel like I was on the stage. Monica Barbaro’s voice is unbelievable too.

The Lighthouse 2019
This was a gradual acceleration from 0-100 over an hour and 50 minutes. Increasingly suspenseful, increasingly manic, increasingly alcoholic, but also throws in some silly elements like mermaid poon and Willem Dafoe’s farts and assless chaps.
You have to be somewhat of a psychological sicko to enjoy this movie.
